About OAI-PMH

The Open Archives Initiative Protocol for Metadata Harvesting (OAI-PMH) is a standard developed to facilitate the interoperability of online repositories. Through OAI-PMH, IJCAR exposes structured metadata that enables indexing services, libraries, and aggregators to harvest, catalog, and distribute article information seamlessly.

“OAI-PMH ensures that every article published in IJCAR remains visible, retrievable, and interoperable across global digital libraries.”

Base URL for Metadata Harvesting

OAI-PMH Base URL:
https://www.anesthesiaresjournal.com/index.php/ijcar/oai

This endpoint supports standard OAI-PMH verbs and XML metadata responses for all published content.

Supported Metadata Formats

IJCAR provides metadata in the following OAI-PMH compatible formats:

  • Dublin Core (oai_dc): Standard bibliographic metadata format.
  • MODS (Metadata Object Description Schema): Enhanced structured format for digital archives.
  • OJS Native XML: Complete journal article metadata for repository exchange.
