Introduction
The International Journal of Clinical Anesthesia and Research (IJCAR) follows a transparent and ethical cost recovery model to sustain its Open Access publishing system. Authors are required to pay an Article Processing Charge (APC) after their manuscript is accepted for publication. There are no submission or review fees at any stage.

What Does the APC Cover?
The APC ensures the continuous availability of published articles worldwide and covers the following:
- Editorial review management and administrative support.
- Online hosting, indexing, and DOI registration via CrossRef.
- Plagiarism screening using iThenticate/Turnitin.
- Language editing, formatting, and XML conversion for metadata.
- Archiving, repository integration, and long-term digital preservation (LOCKSS/CLOCKSS/PKP PN).
Article Processing Charges (APC)
IJCAR maintains uniform global APCs, with adjustments based on economic classifications of the author’s country (as per the World Bank income tiers).

Payment Process
- Once a manuscript is accepted, the corresponding author receives an invoice with payment instructions.
- Payment can be made via bank transfer, credit card, or PayPal.
- After confirmation, the production process begins immediately.
Waivers and Discounts
IJCAR is committed to supporting researchers worldwide, especially those from resource-limited regions. Fee waivers or reductions may be granted under the following conditions:
- Authors from low-income or developing countries.
- Early-career researchers or independent scholars without institutional funding.
- Special thematic issues supported by grants or editorial sponsorships.
Refund and Withdrawal Conditions
Refund requests are handled according to the journal’s Refund Policy. Once an article is published online, no refund is possible. Withdrawn manuscripts may incur an administrative fee depending on processing stage.

Currency and Taxes
All charges are in U.S. Dollars (USD). Transaction fees from payment gateways are borne by the payer. Taxes, if applicable in certain regions, are included in the APC amount.
